I’ll have to turn on my heater tonight and tomorrow. Absolutely horrible, guise!! I’ll have to also put on a JACKET if I go outside this evening!!! And tomorrow... 37?!?! I’ll need to stock up on supplies on the way home.

I mean, you never think it’ll happen to you, but then it does... Ugh!!

Dallas checking in here. 47 degrees and an expected low of 27 tonight. The city is a wasteland. I can hear wolves howling as they return to their habitat.

I can only hope I have enough wood to burn through the winter or else I am surely lost.

We’ve got some rather strong storms and rain coming to Florida. The shleves for water canned goods and better are empty. Some stations are even running out of regular gas! The panic is real!

To us year round people, yes.

This time of year though has the town full of Northerners who came to “escape” the snow. Talking with some of them at the restaurant and they honestly are scared

We don’t have many snow birds here (THANK THAH LORD), but we do have many transplants. As a Native Texan®, we have to educate them on what to do in the event of a hurricane.

Answer: Bug out to Austin for a couple of days, because no electricity/no AC + humid hot weather = sucks.

Louisiana is expected to freeze tonight, so I have to get out there and cover up all the tropical plants. It’s the worst of both worlds here - hotter and more humid than Houston in the summer, colder in the winter. The only up side is not having to deal with five million other people.
